Subsea Landing String System

A marine drilling riser is a pipe that provides a temporary extension from a floating drilling vessel to an offshore well to enable well intervention operations. Landing strings are in-riser systems which contain a subsea test tree within a BOP (blow out preventer) allowing well operations to be conducted safely from floating vessels. The test tree provides the ability to rapidly shut-in the well and disconnect the vessel in case of emergency should conditions require. A valve arrangement is contained within the system, above the BOP shear rams, ensuring the landing string contents are isolated upon disconnect.

The Subsea Landing String System is an assembly of large bore hydraulically controlled valves for through-riser completion installation and intervention. The valves provide enhanced cutting and post-cut sealing capabilities with the ability to rapidly isolate the well.
